Turn-of-the-century Paris is coming to cities worldwide this year—it’s the theme of the pop-up dinner party, Diner en Blanc, an all-white attire event with a secret location disclosed an hour before the bash.
The 2026 theme’s title, “Une Soirée Parisienne – La Belle Époque,” translates as “A Parisian Evening – The Beautiful Era,” conjuring a period in French history, roughly from 1871 to 1914. The era is remembered as a golden age of prosperity, paired with a thriving art and culture scene—Toulouse-Lautrec posters, the Eiffel Tower (built in 1889), extravagant fashion, the Moulin Rouge, and the flourishing Impressionist art world.
